The Mill at Fountains Abbey was the perfect setting for the heart-warming story of a little owl learning about life, love and how to fly.
With its exposed beams and sense of history, the building was an atmospheric backdrop for Hoglet Theatre’s tale of the little owl who lives in an attic.
Performer Gemma Curry enchanted audiences at two shows of Wood Owl and the Box of Wonders over the bank holiday weekend.
With the weather behaving in typical holiday fashion, families were pleased to come in from the rain and enjoy the show, followed by a puppet-making workshop. Plenty of lovely mini owls were given their wings and went home with their makers.
Thank you to all the team at National Trust Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal for helping us bring the show to such a great venue. We are looking forward to our next collaboration with Tales from the Scriptorium on the Festival’s opening day – Tuesday 2 July.
