Ripon Theatre Festival Celebrates First Funding from Arts Council England

We are delighted to announce that Ripon Theatre Festival has received its first award of funds from Arts Council England.

This crucial support will enable us to bring more of the highest quality theatre, street entertainment, and other performances to our city.

The Ripon Theatre Festival costs around £50,000 to stage each year. We rely on such funding to keep ticket prices as low as possible and to provide a wide range of free events and activities, especially during the Festival weekend. This generous funding from Arts Council England is also helping us to develop our Community Outreach programme, offering workshops and performances to local schools.

"We are thrilled and grateful for the support from Arts Council England. This funding allows us to enhance our programme and ensure that theatre and the arts are accessible to everyone in our community."
Katie Scott
Festival Director

National Lottery Project Grants is the Arts Council’s open access programme for arts, museums and libraries projects. The fund supports thousands of individual artists, community and cultural organisations thanks to National Lottery investment.

National Lottery players raise over £30 million for good causes each week, funding arts, heritage, sports, voluntary and charity projects around the UK. Over £43 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery began in 1994.

The festival promises to be a celebration of creativity and talent, with something for everyone to enjoy. Stay tuned for more details about this year’s exciting lineup.
